Unlimited Single Permit Flanders

Nov Rain87

Hello,

In december I will complete 4 years residing in Flander Region with card A, but during this period I didn't work all the time, (I worked more than 3.6 years).

Am I eligible to apply for unlimited single permit, or I must complete 4 years of working in Belgium?

Someone had the same situation??

Thank you in advance...

Hello,

Thank you for your reply and your time.

I already read this info but still not sure about the process.

I am not citizen of this country that are mentioned here.

I just wanted to know if someone had the same situation and how to proceed in my case..

Hello,

Process is

  1. You will apply for unlimited single permit with requested documents.
  2. Your request will be evaluated by region.
  3. If needed, additional documents will be asked.
  4. If you are eligible for it single permit  will  be issued.
  5. If issued your filll be transferred to ibz for residence permit
  6. If positive decision taken your file will be transferred to your municipality.
  7. You will be invited for your card  type a by municipality

For 3.6years working you can try your chance by applying single permit.

Good luck.

Did you get any feedback on your application?

Nov Rain87

Not yet, almost 7 weeks without any response.

@Nov Rain87

It can take several months

Nov Rain87

@SimCityAT

It can be, but has no sense to take several month.

After completing 4 years if the procedure last 4-5 months why do we need the unlimited single permit?? This is ridiculous....

SimCityAT

@Nov Rain87

Yes, but there are many factors, it depends on their workload.

@Nov Rain87

In my case it took 4 months . But the problem is , when single permit is approved they are not directly contacting with you.

They sent the decisiton to your municipality. You can learn it either from municipality or directly calling ibz.

In my case i was already know that my SP approved but i cant get the approval.

They only sent first municipality then you (took 2 months after municipality recieved)

But this may vary depend of the officers..

Be patience and good luck.

Hi, I’m also in the same situation you were in (3.6 years on a single permit). I would like to know if you succeeded in applying for the unlimited‑duration single permit. Can I start the online application earlier than 4 years?

@manju618

Hi,

4 years rule is not the same for everyone. It depends on where you are from and where you are applying from ( which region ). If we assume that it is 4 years for you, then your application will

be rejected if they respond it within 4 months. Usually work permit side takes 2-4 weeks, which means you will most likely be rejected. It is better to wait.

good luck

@maharaji1984

I probably was lucky, as I got the decision notification via government e-box, and also was able to track it via the website where I applied...

For Indians Unlimited Single permit for flanders is given if

"You have been working for at least 4 years of the 5 years prior to your application"
