Hi Arda,

Residency permit applications in IBZ usually take almost 4 months, maybe even more.  Applications that are being applied from Turkey take even more sometimes. It mostly depends on your employer and the region you have applied for.

I have a question. On the IBZ website for researchers with a hosting agreement, it is mentioned that the evaluation period for a single permit is 60 days after the work permit is granted. Does this apply in all cases? In my case, more than 60 days have already passed.

4. Residence Permit approval : No feedback yet.

I had unlimited work permit.

I applied for residence renewal in October 2025 and still waiting for approval.

I have been chasing commune and ibz but the service desk at ibz says it is still

in processing and need to wait 17 weeks.

it has been 17 weeks but service desk keeps on saying it is still in process.

is there anything i can do instead of just waiting??
