Marriage with a EU citizen residing in Belgium

Ilda166

Hello everyone, I have a boyfriend from the Netherlands who has lived in Belgium for almost 10 years and works there. We want to get married in Belgium. And I am Indonesian. I have asked the Belgian embassy in my country and they sent me about the Family reunion/marriage/legal cohabitation visa With an EU citizen residing in Belgium Visa directive 2004/38/EC Both for short (-90d) and long (+90d) stay

Does anyone have the same problem? I'm a little confused to choose the option in the given website? Should I choose long stay or short stay? Because when I chose the short stay visa type there was no option to get married in Belgium but there was an option about directive 2004-38/EC as written in the attached list of document requirements sent by the embassy

If anyone has the same problem, please help me find the solution

thankyou

Hi, i am Indonesian. But my Married with my husband was in Nederland. Then he move to Belgium. Once he had all the adress and job. Then he sent an attest letter from Gemeente. The Indonesia Embassy also adv me to apply directive visa 2004/38EC. As my understanding is reunion visa with EU member Citizen otherthan belgian who reside in Belgium. And this visa only for short stay 90 days. Before I arrived Belgium, i make an appointment date with Gemeente for prosesing of residentie permit. So the date for the appointment we Choice the date of my arrival in Belgium ( you can Choice any date which is confortable for you) and off course you must consult with the gemeente because your case is comming to married

Rgds, Hanney
