Ingredients
- For 4 people
- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 1/2 teaspoon of mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon of saffron
- Dry chilli to taste
- 1 onion
- 10 curry leaves
- 1/4 packet of tamarind - dissolves in water
- 2 handfuls of dholl
Preperation
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot
Once the oil is hot, add the mustard
Add the dholl, stir, add dry pepper, stir, add the saffron and the curry leaves
Stir, add the onions, let them brown, add the tamarind water, salt and pepper
Let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes
Gradually add the rice and stir
Serve with a fricassee or rougaille and a tomato chutney.
