Hi Jo,,

It’s very easy to get a Visa so don’t stress about that part.. unless you are thinking about bringing pets… then it gets complicated

I came ten years ago and did everything myself including bringing my dog. It was all very simple and I got all info off government sites. Once here I applied for self employed permit and all very simple. Don’t need an agent, of course that’s up to you if you prefer to pay someone to do it all for you, but you don’t need to.

@lynnismith, which place is safe and best for living there on a budget for retirees. What is cost of living and rent for a couple...thanks.

@amaliaaddis okay thank you, and out on the streets I will be able to find enough pets that I can take care of. Also I am planning to volunteer with the poor doggies and cats and whatever stray animals are walking around the beaches and streets . Once I am planning to come and live on the island, would there be any possibility for me to volunteer in local school to teach the children/adults English? I have a TEFL certificate and was a teacher for 6 weeks in Colombia to teach there English.
