Hi Forum,

I'm based in London and operate a newly formed self employed business offering specialised IT support to companies in Saudi Arabia.

I'm hopeful to start my first project with a chain of locations (around 50). All of the work will be completed from London using remote support tools (Think like PC Anywhere, Logmein123 etc). I will not be entering KSA at all for this project.

What laws/procedures do I have to abide by? Can the company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia just pay my invoice that I send to them once work is completed?

Hello,

I don't think there are any impediments in KSA when it comes to making payments to foreign entities. The only laws to be considered are the local laws where the receiving entity is established.

Wish you success in the new company and this new line of business.

If I were you, I'd contact HSBC enquiring about opening a bank account in Saudi Arabia. They used to have an office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Also, the Saudi British Bank "SABB" is part of the HSBC group.

Check the website of SABB: https://www.sabb.com/en/
When you choose the United Kingdom as a location, you'll be directed to HSBC.

SABB bank has business solutions "SME's & EX/IM" and I'm certain they will work out for you in a way to handle taxes and avoid double taxation.

Kindly update your status and findings, in order for others having the same issue and situation of yours to find some helpful guidance.
