I get visa on arrival and that actually makes it harder to know cause basically i'll only find out when i arrive at the airport!

Hello everyone my husband already did his medical test last sunday at AL QUOZ medical center, he is for renewal and dont belong to 6 categories. were still waiting for the result.Please include us in your prayers,im hoping and praying that he will pass the medical.

I have already my new job here in Abu Dhabi as Engineer in a big company (oil & gas) & of course with higher salary.

I was very lucky during that time. After Dubai Governement has  cancelled my visa due to hepa b, after 1 month , the new law regarding hepa b was implemented & as a result, i passed the medical exam without any hesitation in my mind. Thanks to GOD.

They did not really checked the hepa b (only blood test for HIV & Lung X-ray ).

Dear All, I have collected my test result today and thanks to God, i have passed the test. Thanks to ALL those who have remembered me in their prayers. I have enquired the situation with the clerk there who has confirmed that the HBV check is mandatory for only food handlers.

hi, but is it only for renewal cases?? what about new visa for residency, will they check Hep B for new cases?? as for renewal they are only doing HIV...please can you check with same hospital and clarify for new cases would they check Hepb??

In my case, it was a new visa since I joined to another company.

My previous company (Govt.) did not renew and cancelled my visa due to hepa b, and instead of exiting,(in fact, I was overstayed in UAE for 1 month & my new company payed for it including the non-exit fee), I applied to a private company as per MOH's advise as the new law for medical test has been implemented in the private sector.

Thre's no "BANNED" stamped on my passport/visa, Only " CANCELED" was there. Besides, I asked personally the immigration people if I am banned due to hepa b & they said "NO" and you can still apply to private companies or in other emirates.

I am sure they are not checking hepa b if your job is not included in the 6 categories.

As per my experience & according to my friend who is nurse, it needs 100cc of blood sample to ckeck hepa b, but during my latest medical test last November 2010 where i was granted my new residence visa, they took only few drops of blood sample & I am very sure that it was only for HIV testing.

I know i am being annoying but do ppl that have bans get a BANNED stamp on their passport as they exit or is it just in the government records? As you can tell i have no clue how this whole thing works and that is why i worry so much about it.

They have collected the sample and i went to collect the result. in between there is no much activity took place really. i haven't involve any one in the process. Its just God's grace. I am sure for all the renewal there is no problem.

i want to ask about residence visa in abudhabi. Last year my husband already make residence visa for me and when i do medical check they found that i am positive hepatite B and i cant live with my husband in abudhabi and i back to my country. When I arrive in my country i make medical check for hepa B again and yes I am positive but the virus not active ( HbsAg positif, HbeAg negative, and HBV DNA non reactive ). Then i get treatment from the doctor by keep take medicine for 6 month and keep under control by the doctor. After 6 month i make medical check again and the result I am ok now and all result lab are negative.
My question : Can i get residence visa again because i hear that the regulation in abudhabi, once someone have that desease they will not be approved again. But if someone already live in abudhabi before they will approved it even they have the virus. Plz i really need clear and accurate information for these because till now i still can not live together with my husband. Thanks for anyone who can help me on this i really need the explanation as soon as possible.

I can even make love with my husband without any protection and still not passing the virus to him or to my baby in case I am having. But to be on the safest side, my husband went for Hepa B vaccination already.
I need to go back and undergo testing again after 6 months to check if there is any changes.
Now, I have my visa stamped on my passport. After 3 years, I will undergo medical fitness test again. I hope by that time, the virus is totally gone on my system. I think that's possible.

Someone says that they check the HBV only for the 6 categories and someone is saying that they check for all and found, will be deported. the health authorities web site indicates that they do not check. Still someone is saying that the rule has not come into force. There is no one on the blog who has shared the information that new visa case deported recently and hence difficult to conclude. When i spoke to the people in the hospital, the said that they will not check. but still not sure whether it is applicable to the new cases or not. I am a passive carrier but still got fitness certificate last week. let us wait to see if someone would share their experience.

My husband already go to Health Authorities in abudhabi and they said I cant come because once i have that desease they will not approve again. But if i already live there before and then i have that virus they will keep approve it.
I dont know and cant count how much money that i already spend for my medicine. And yes it is expensive.

hi all i just came to dubai n got a job also i recently signd my offer letter waitin for labour clearance and den i would go for a blood test and yes im also sailin in the same boat like u all i have hepa B in blood but b4 that i wud b goin to the hosp to confrm the new law mayb by 2mrow or day after i wud go n check it out and wud let every1 know about it.

hopefully we will hear a good news. My prayers are with you. I would recommend you going to the Baraha hospital and go to the room no. 3 where the duty doctors are available and they can guide you. Please make sure that you clearly specify that you either belong to the 6 categories or not.

hi, you can find a lot of doctors for the treatment of HBV. But the cost is costlier here in UAE. Call this no. 06-5538787 and speak to doctor Kassem. You can get more details once you speak to him. To the best of my knowledge, Pegasys is the ultimate solution for HBV but there are some side effects which you should know before you start the medication. Alternatively, if you can use Baraclude you can achieve zero count on your blood. But, if you are being tested for HBV, you will still find the virus in your blood though it is zero. In such scenario, Pegasys can make even the blooed without any detection. However, like any other medicine it depends on your body reaction to the medicine and can say that the success rate is about 90 percent. Unless until you exceed your count more than 100k, you need not worry about the virus provided that your lipid profile is unaltered.

Hi Namira, i am not sure whether it is possible or not. Let W_ali go to the hospital and have his test done. until then we have to cross our fingers and wait.I don't think that they are checking whether you are passive carrier or not. As per my own experience, if you are within the country and not fall within the 6 categories mentioned, there is no problem with the renewal case. no one in the blog has experinced a new case followed by deportation or issuance of visa. let us wait to see. I am planning to go to see one of the doctors and know more about the new cases. Hope we will have a positive response.

Btw did you have hepa B before you came to Dubai or after you already in Dubai ? They told that they cant be approve my visa again because i was new in UAE and i have hepa B before because once i have it they will not be approve it again. Is it true?
