We would like to know whether expats are keen on decorating and furnishing to warm up their space whether for the festive season or all year-round.
Upon renting a new apartment or house in Greece, do you redesign your accommodation to suit your taste? Are your choices influenced by price, climate, etc…?
Have you brought any interior decoration items from your home country or did you consider buying any once in Greece?
As an expat in Greece do you find it worthy to invest in home decor? Could you share what you have bought and perhaps some interesting places to shop for home decor?

Home decoration ideas for expats in Greece
moving to Greece and to own our house finally after moving from country to other.
our background is Mediterranean, we have choosen an old house from ottomans days and renovated with a fusion to keep the style, introduce the cretan, moroccan Palestinian ans spanish style with our collected furniture from all over the world of 20 years.
this was not easy to finalize the design of the house from inside as totally changed since we included also bathrooms ( bathrooms use to be outside), i can say we are happy and everybody got the wow effect when they enter. so now just 2 weeks we settled and try to decorated with our peaces of furniture to make to the best.
the decoration depending to our pieces collected, hand made & hand embroidered stuff, family collectibles, we like quality, we prefer to stay without then taking something not to the standard of a good taste and quality.
decoration depending also to the season if winter or summer. we like also comfort and simplicity.
