Good morning everyone,

I hope you're all well. To help expats and expats-to-be who might not be acquainted with the customs of the month of Ramadan just yet, we have put together a list of do's and don'ts.

Of course, we might have missed certain things which might be specific to Morocco and if there is anything that comes to your mind, please do not hesitate to reach out and share your experience with us on this thread.

I hope you all have an incredible week-end!

Your article is incorrect.
Whilst it is illegal for Moroccans to eat and drink in public during Ramadan, unless they meet special requirements where they don't need to fast, (such as illness or pregnancy), these rules do not apply to visitors or non-Muslims.
It is advisory/best to only eat in public, in tourist areas, but you will not be arrested.

Hey Doug, we had read otherwise but we will absolutely take your word for it. This is why we need input your input is so precious! Thank you, it has been changed :)
