I am here in Oman on a family visit visa. Should I exit Oman to change my visa to permanent residence visa.

Your husband's employer is okay with your converting your visa, then it can be done without your having to exit the Sultanate.
It all boils down to how influential your husband's company PRO is.

My husband is running his own business and our sponsor has no issue in this regard. Hope there'll be no need to exit.
