yes indeed, we are mostly a mix of both.
but if you take in consideration that leaders are the reflection of thier followers, we will go back to two once again...

I have read the original post before, it was only two, now he mixed it with both leader and follower, now it was three....

Hi all, I am new here so go easy on me...

All joking aside, I think I understand what arabianprince is getting at:

1: Those that only ever lead
2: Those that only ever follow
3: Those with the flexibility to lead when required and can also adapt and follow

No surprise that I class myself as the third kind as it's the only way to get the best out of any given situation.

BRAVO.....I think I have a new buddy who I can interact with.

Generally, there are instances that we experience all these three situations in our life. We lead, we follow or both, maybe not at work,not in school but at home or the other way around. Simply, we are a leader and a follower in our own choice. the question is, are you a good follower or a good leader?

Yes that's very true, which I guess is the point of the third way - you can be neither leader nor follower forever.
