Looking for job in Malta or Gozo

Uyi osagie

My name is Omoruyi Osagie , I am a non EU citizen , I am specialized in the repair of heavy duty machines and trucks (diesel engine) , I have an Italian work permit , I came to Malta recently .

What are the possibilities of me getting a job in Malta ?
I submitted my CV in different offices in Gozo but nothing came up yet . some ask me if I have a malta work permit .
Could it be that I can't get a job because I am not an Eu citizen ? Or there are procedures I must follow to get a job ?

Please I need response and guide about my chances of working in Malta , I have falling in love with this country .

Thanks in advance for your response

There are a number of third country nationals of all ethnicities or races who work in different capacities (skilled, semi skilled and unskilled). So that question is out of place, but gaining employment does not come on a platter of gold. Often times, you might need to register with a recruitment agency, or do some vocational training (except you have some EU wide recognized qualification or certificate) and obtain a reference to channel to employers. Or you probably volunteer for some few days or months. Your employer secures you a job, then register you with Jobsplus (engagement letter and social security). Then job plus issues you a renewable one year employment licence, and then you apply to ID Malta for  work permit.
