Post new topic

HI, I'm a Dentist in India with 3+ years of experience. My husband is working in Malta and I would like to work there as a dentist.
May I know  what are the procedures for registration with medical council ?
Is there any entrance exams for the same..?

Hello Tonjose and welcome to expat.com !

My name is Loïc and it is really nice to meet you.

If you want advice about Malta, you can read our Guide about it in the Living in Malta guide

Also in our guide, there is an article about setting up your business on the island, maybe that would help :)

About the medical council, I'll let the members answer that one ;)

Wishing you a great day.

Welcome to the Forum, it would be advisable to move here before the end of the year because of Brexit it would then be easier to find a position, after then you will be considered as a TCN and it probably will not be so easy.   As a dentist you may need to be able to speak Maltese, good
luck.

@tonjose

hello, can you please tell me the pathway to practice dentistry in Malta for Indian dentist?

Thanks

Evreham

Hi,

The requirements can be found here:

https://healthservices.gov.mt/en/regcou … tration%20(Dental%20Surgeons).pdf

Please note the following regarding language requirements:

For the attainment of a Licence to Practice in Malta the profession of medical practitioner or dental surgeon, proficiency in the Maltese and English languages is, save in exceptional circumstances, required. (An exceptional circumstance would for example be the case of a foreign medical practitioner accompanying a foreign head of state visiting Malta).
