Time duration to get Qatar visa

Iam in medical profession, I got a job in a reputed institution and have given me the offer letter,I have attested all the documents and submitted to the agency. Since one month there is no reply from them, hence I would like to know what is the steps involved to get the visa, and the duration needed. Based on that I need to resign the current job. So will u please share your valuable experience.

Don't resign before you have your visa
It's too risky to lose your job without having the new one confirmed
Sometimes the visa gets rejected
Be always on the safe side

Congratulations for the offer,

Visa application should not take much time however your company might want to close all offers 1st and then apply for all the visas at once or could be any other reason. Visa application does not take more then a week. Please do not resign until you receive the visa from your the employer.

You can always check yourself if they have applied for your visa and the status of the same on the MOI site (link given below). punch in your passport number and nationality, it shows you the visa application status if at all your employer has applied already.
