Buying a car on an international licence

If this has been asked before, please don't lambaste me. I have looked and found nothing on the topic.
I'd like to buy a car and have it transferred into my name. Will this be possible with just my Iqama and an international driving licence, or do I need to get my licence converted?

dear
there is no need for transferring ur international licence just go to dalla (where u get ksa licence). show them ur international driving licence and u will get ksa driving licence in a day. no need to pass computer signals no driving test no medical need for it that's my personal experience when they see my international driving licence they just take iqama copy from me driving licence copy and on next day i had my ksa licence
