Dear all

In Sep 2013 i left oman and cancel visa, now in Oct 2014 i have a offer from oman , i am worried that 2 year ban is applicable in my case , or it will be only for those who cancel their visa after 1st july 2014

I'm quoting from personal experience. I joined a firm in Oman in Dec 2012, returned in July 2013. However, when my new company re applied this year in Oct, the visa was rejected based on the two year rule. Thankfully my previous firm was cooperative and submitted an NOL (no objection letter) to the authorities, following which I got approval for my visa with my new firm.

Concluding from that, it depends when your visa was issued. For instance, for a cancelled visa, if you re-apply for another visa within two years from the date of issue, you will also need to submit an NOL from your previous employer, otherwise it will be rejected.
If your employer is not willing to give an NOL, then I'm afraid your application will not be processed at this stage until the two year time lapse is complete.

Hi kazimfarid,

The 2-year rule is effective only July 2014. Those who exited the Sultanate prior to July 2014 are exempt from this rule.

Good luck.
