12-month residency in Kiev

Hi I am new to Expat.com
I am an Australian currently on a 12-month multi business visa.
Working for an Australian company as a Business development manager for Russia and CIS.
My wife and i would love to stay in Kiev for the full 12 months and not depart after the 180 day maximum allowable. We don't work in Ukraine, but use it as a home base.

Is there a way of staying or getting a full 12 months residency visa ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
