Forgive me, I am sure I see the details of what I need for self-employment registration on here, but,for the life of me I can't find it.

Can one of you sages help me out?

Hi SillyPennyP,

From what I know, you will need to go to ETC to register yourself as a self-employed person. You will need to fill a pink form that you can get from there.

I am also working as a self-employed but in my case, I actually did not need to do anything. I have just got a call yesterday from ETC asking me for my passport number as it seems that the Social Security office, have passed all my information to them when I went to apply for my Social Security Number.

They told me they will send me a letter confirming that I am registered as a self-employed person. Hope it helps.

you only have to think about Social Security resp. Health Insurance, i.e. if you take insurance from private company or pay National Insurance contributions.
