Getting a new Iqama in KSA

Post new topic

sajjadhasan9

Hello Sirs,

I hope my message finds you well. I am presently working as a consultant in KSA on a visit visa. During my stay in KSA, I got a job offer from a company and I have given acceptance thereon. However, I have some questions and I shall be highly obliged if you could answer them in detail.

1. Whats the procedure of getting an Iqama in KSA for the first time and how much time is involved?

2. Can I still work on visit visa in KSA for my present employer whereas my future employer is arranging my Iqama?

3. Is Iqama for a particular time period or for an indefinite time period permit?

4. Do I need to be employed with my future employer for atleast 2 years in order to get my Iqama transferable?

5. What is the concept of transferable Iqama?

6. How soon can I bring my family (parents) in KSA after getting the Iqama?

Your earliest responses to my queries shall be highly appreciative.

Thanks and Regards,

Sajjad.

Getting an Iqama in your case will necessarily mean:

- Ask the new employer for the new work visa.
- Grab the papers once he processes them for you.
- Fly back to your home country and visit Saudi Embassy there.
- Get the visa stamped on your passport
- Travel back.

There is nothing called conversion of visit visa to Iqama (i.e. work visa).

@TLL

There is conversion possible from visit visa to Work Visa / Iqama. But only for people / companies with excellent connections.
