Hi all, I plan to move to Mauritius next year with my family.
I plan to start up a small mushroom farm cultivating Shiitake mushrooms. I would like to know how hard is it to apply for the Mauritian self employment permit if you want to do it by yourself instead of using a company to apply for the permit on your behalf, I just can't justify the money a company will charge you for that, also can you apply from South Africa or is it best to do it when you arrive in Mauritius? the same goes for opening a bank account? Can I do it from South Africa or do it when we get there? What bank would you suggest?
Can anyone tell me exactly what documents do they require?
What the cost is for the permit? And if I add a business plan to the documents will that make my case for a permit stronger?
I am getting a lot of conflicting information from various sites so that's why I ask for someone who has been through the process.
