A great way for expatriates to give and get specific books

I recently found a wonderful book swap, bookmooch.com.  It's all done with an email organization of bookwishes and books available.

Yesterday I sent books to England, Denmark, and Belgium, and I'm waiting for books from two senders in the USA.  Postage when you send books is the only cost. It's interesting to see who needs one of your listed books, and when and where one of your wished for books turns up.

I wonder why it is like pulling teeth to get a book sent by family or friends... too busy, not sure how to send it, don't want a paper connection with someone in Russia?  Have you had the same experience or have you been lucky with someone who sends you books often?

Robert, I WAS going to offer to find and bring a book to you but I will be coming via 4 months in England and then probably somewhere else on my way to St. Petersburg.  I visit used book stores here in Ft. Worth TX and when in Alaska.  Is there a book I can mail you?  Pat Drenten  [email protected]
