Hi

I received 2 year work permit contract from an employer in Belgium. So i applied for visa and got the visa in 2021. However after joining the employer i left the job/absconded after a month of joining. Later when asked my employer told they cancelled my workpermit and visa. Now i am applying for portugal residence visa. do i have any adverse effects due to breaking the contrat/absconding my previous employer. while cancelling my visa would they have informed the consulate/embassy on this putting as a remark?

PS: I never travelled to Belgium after receiving visa and i worked for this employer from India.

Not sure if this will be a problem. You can mention in the cover letter that you had a Belgian D visa in the past and you did not travel, as you had personal issues which prevented you from moving to Belgium.
