Birth registration - marriage contract

Hi all,

If I understand correctly, registering a birth of a child in Egypt needs to be done within 15 days of the birth using the marriage contract as well as a medical document from the hospital and both parent's ID or passports.

What now if the parents (Belgian mother - Egyptian father) have been legally married only 3 months before the birth date of the child, and they had been married Orfi before that? Would that hinder the birth registration in any way? Given the short period of time between the legal marriage and the birth, which is way less than 9 months?

Also, does anyone know a good and reliable lawyer who is specialized in these matters?

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards

No lawyer needed as long you have an official marriage certificate they do not care about dates

@adrianawilliam1277 Clear, thank you for the info!

It would have been better if you have registered The orfi marriage contract  from the beginning, But, anyway, what you must do now is to provide a copy of the orfi marriage contract and the new marriage contract, and you may be asked to admit the parentage of the child. contact me if you need any further help.
