My name is Kimberly and I'm coming from USA to visit Mauritius in February 2023. I plan to apply for a retirement visa. Does anyone know how long I have to stay in the country during this process?

You can apply for retirement visa from outside Mauritius. Once you have an agreement in principle which should not take long provided you have uploaded the right documents, you have to visit within the next 3 months on a visitor visa and go through the formalities - bank account, transfer money into the account, rent a property, health checks, etc. Please see edb website for more details.
