Query about a message I got from an Oil & Gas firm

I got this email from UAE from an Oil Company,

Could this be real:

One question - Did you apply for the job?

If not, why the hell are you asking daft questions?

@Fred Yes I did apply for the job and the emails are coming from their HR head recruiter

It's a scam.  There is no need for an affidavit or employment compliance for UAE work visa.  They are going to refer you to a law firm and take money from you......then disappear. Read this thread also:
