Industrial pharmacist jobs in DR

Aamna Hamid

Hey, I'm from Pakistan and I completed my pharm D degree recently. I was looking for a job in Dominican republic. Please do help me with the procedure and requirements for foreigners. Is there any eligibility test for the license or Pakistani license is acceptable ?

No license is automatically accepted. All your education would need to be translated and apostilized then submitted to the governing body.  You would also need fluent Spanish!  A pharmacist job likely pays maybe US 600 a month.

It is a daunting process with no guarantees for a  job that doesn't pay

I am a pharmacist also but decided that when I retire to Punta Cana I will no longer be practicing pharmacy. The  salaries there are much lower than where I live (US) and I am sure there will be some type of licensure / training you will have to undergo even with an out of country license.

The DR is a place to come to and retire. Not to get $600 US a month working, if you are lucky.

Yep. Maybe someone can explain the logic of this. Maybe it is the perception someone can live here so cheaply, but that is often not realistic.
