I currently live in Jamaica and i'd like to move to the Dominican Republic and acquire a job. How do i go about doing so?

You will need residency or a work visa.  Both take months to get.  Residency - start by reading the pinned thread as you need to qualify. Work visa - you need to find a job with an employer who will sponsor the visa.
