Car usage for short-term

Post new topic

redgems

We're in KSA for 6-8 months and would like to figure out our options for getting around.  We would mostly be making long treks - Mecca, Medina - very little city usage.

I know rental cars are available but does anyone have experience with renting for an extended period of time?

Any recommendations would be great. Also, regarding the insurance you get from these places, do they really provide good coverage?  Is it possible to buy supplemental coverage through someone else?  Who's reponsible for repairs (might seem obvious, but still)?

What else should we be aware of?  Are there other options we should consider?

I know you cannot take the vehicle out of the country if you lease/rent.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

You can check some rent a car offices, normally they have packages, You can rent a car for 5/6 months, I beleive it will be most mind relax option.

they charge 100 riyals per day but for a month you will get more discount.

You can get a decent car on monthly rentals. Maintenance and insurance is included. I recommend you go for that.
