Experience Engineer from Malaysia Looking for a job in UK

Hi, i’m sharina from Malaysia.. i’m degree holder in B.Sc Industrial Chemistry from local public university. currently working as Failure Analysis engineer for 8 years in US based company in Malaysia. my work experience related to lab management and analysis, specialized in surface analysis and certain tools like sem-edx, afm and optical surface analyzer.. before my recent company, i work in edible oil industry for 3 years and still kind of lab works and edible oil formulation.. does my work experience worth in UK? i was thinking to work in UK since my husband is planning to further his PhD in UK somewhere next year.. anyway still in proposal and stage and looking for sponsorships. any advise for me? thanks in advance.

Hi Sharina and welcome to the Forum.

There is only one way to do this, you need to find a job that is listed on the UK Governments shortage occupation list; if you can do that, then it's possible to apply for a work permit. I'd draw your attention to the "NON EU CITIZENS APPLYING FOR A UK WORK VISA" post at the top of this Forum; this will help you through that.

Assuming you have a skill that is listed on the list, then you apply for a job and your future employer can apply for a work permit for you.
