Hello,

I have recently moved from India to Brussels (Work Permit B) and I am staying with my friend. He is the principal rent payer and gave me the 'Letter of Accomodation' that I showed in commune to get my RP.
I will soon get married and my future wife (also Indian) will join me here soon. I have a few queries. If someone could answer them please.

1. What is the average time processing time for the dependent visa application these days ?

2. Do I have to have my own apartment (with a rent contract) so that my future wife can apply for Dependent VISA? Since I'm not really sure how long it would take for the VISA processing , can I not give the current address of my friend for the VISA application of my future wife and later on when she recieves her VISA, I get my own apartment before she comes here ? Has anyone done this before ?

Some insight would be really appreciated .

1. Average 6 months.
2. Better to have a rental contract on your name when you apply for your wife's visa.
