Expand your social circle in Jordan

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

Moving to Jordan means leaving one's family and friends behind. Creating a circle of friends or joining an existing one should therefore be paramount in order to fight loneliness in your host country.

But how can one develop a social network in Jordan? Where and how to meet people there?

How easy is it to meet locals? What about cultural specificities?

Share your advice and experience!

Many thanks in advance,

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla
Welcome what I did was to look for places of worship in Jordan .iam an anglican but have been attending the Baptist church, the born again, the catholics  as well
Some meet on Fridays others on Saturdays.then  there are also midweek meetings but  I haven't managed to attend in evening time and wasn't used moving alone after dark.but from those meetings you start building networks
If you are working you can link up with the office mates especially Thursday evenings after work.
enjoy
