Obtaining an Omani Driving License

Dear Professional Colleagues,

I am holding an Indian Driving License for Four Wheeler and Two Wheeler issued in the year 2009. Now I am residing in Muscat and got a job also. I am planning to avail an Omani Driving License. Could you please suggest which are the tests which can be exempted for obtaining an Omani Driving License where I hold an valid Indian Driving License. How can the same be attested in Oman from Indian Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.?

Hi
The rules are changed (couple of months back) & therefore, you won't get any exemption upon having a valid Indian license. So, no point in getting your driving license attested by the Embassy.

If I take an International Driving License from Oman, am I authorised to drive vehicle for an year. Please advice.
