Hi,

I would like to ask if it is possible to enter Saudi Arabia by road, from Doha to Riyadh with an Omra visa?

As I will only have just got my Iqama in March I can not apply for a family visit visa and my husband and I want to go to Mecca in the holidays for Omra anyway, so the only solution is a Omra visa for him as he only has this time off till next year.
Would it be ok for him to come to Riyadh on the bus from Doha and stay with me as I work there for a few days then when my holidays start is it possible to then fly together from Riyadh to Jeddah?

Thanks

Umrah visas and their travel is regualted through approved travel agencies / tour operators and the port of entry and departure should be Jeddah. This was the rule and there are discussions to extend / convert the Umrah visa to accommodate more tourism opportunities. But this is not yet approved and recently there were news that pilgrims trying to get to Jeddah by road from Qatar and UAE has been returned at the border. Below is the link for that news.
