Best places for families to live

Hi,

Myself and my children are about to move to Kuwait within the next 4-5 weeks and my husband has just arrived there.

As you may imagine I'm now in total PANIC mode, as need to find schools and housing and haven't a clue where to start. We have only known about the move for a month.

With regards to housing - we would like to live in a compound in an area that's good for young families. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry for rambling - my brain is in overdrive! Any help would be much, much appreciated.

it really depends on your budget; and availability, compounds are hard to come by - off the top of my head i can think of 3:

1) Pearl of Qadsiya- on the outskirts of Hawally (technically maidan hawally), giant compound

2) SOME building in JAbriya on the fourth ring road, right next to champions gym, its fairly new so chances of finding a spot there are very high.

3) pearl al marzooq - two storey apartments, in salmiya, after the scientific center, very old therefore mostly difficult to find a place - will be expensive too.

As for schools - my son doesn't need a Special Needs School, just a supportive Mainstream school. Any suggestions would be great!

well again, it depends on what u mean by supportive. ud need to ask the schools directly.
