I just got my iqama and need to get my driver license. I went to the US embassy and had my US license notarized.  My company told me that I should get the notary translated to arabic and then had the US embassy stamp that too.  Any advice from my fellow Americans on how to get the Kuwaiti license?

Hi AmeriLeb

If there is a mandoob in your company he ideally should be able to do it for you...you just need to go for an hour to sign the paper work...

None the less, I think the process is similar with an Australian license...there is a form which needs to filled out that refers to a license swap...that way you avoid any driving exams...etc

Get your license notarized from your embassy, fill in the forms and taken them to the traffic authority, they will give you forms to take to a doctor to check your eye sight...etc

Once you get the OK from the doctor and forms are filled in, the traffic authority will take three working days to prepare your license for you...

Hope this helps
