New Single Work Permit Procedure - Belgium
I made a comment correcting the WP date from 19 Oct to 19 Aug.
However, to answer to your question, yes I have been to Belgium about 5 years back. Hope that doesn't impacts or changes anything.

Okay and your application admissible date ?
When you had been to Belgium, was that for work or business trip .reason for asking this is to check if you had residence number earlier .if so sp should be faster .
I was in Belgium on work visa, and had a residence permit. Its apparent that even that hasn't made my application go any faster
I was just told by the company that work permit authorization has been received on 19th Aug, but they never told me about admissibility date. I asked them today, hope to get their response tomorrow.

Yes , indeed , your earlier RP has not helped so far ,
But your WP was approved on 19th August ,so still you are in the 8 week processing time which would get over after 10 days ,so I think you still need to wait until Mid of October for any updates.
Region: Flanders
Type: Renewal but with a new company
WP authorisation: 18 June
SP: still waiting
Is there anyone here who has been waiting for SP this long? it's been 15 weeks since my WP authorisation.
Hello,
Here is my timeline:
Application: 23/07
Type : Renewal
WP: 25/09
Region / Commune : Brussels / Woluwe-saint-Lambert 1200
Hope it helps.
Best!
Hello,
If the WP and SP has been extended for 3 yrs, do the dependents also get their RP for 3 yrs or is it the same process Year-on-year basis.
I have 2 known cases where the Dependents have been granted 1 year SP whereas the working spouse has a 3 yrs SP.
It is for 3 years. or maybe depends on commune, how they file it.

Didn't you try to contact the authorities?
I asked my employer to do so. Can I contact them directly? Or only my employer can do it?
Hey did you got the single permit and if so when?
Hi All,

Hi Tsovinar
Thank you.
No I've never lived in the EU. Which is why its is surprise for me that it was approved in just over 3 weeks.

Hello Chris,
1st, Congratulations!
2nd, Why are you surprised? The update on DOFI states that the process will take from 2 to 8 weeks, so actually it was something predictable, but I still don't know about people who passed this period, maybe because they were applied before that update so they have different process, I don't know and it does not make any sense.
3rd, I was wondering if you received dofi's email or notified by your employer and waiting for your annex, or both?
Anyway, I have the same exact dates in the same region, but still no news about my SP! I hope to get it soon.
Hey
Can you please share the sender email address from which you received your singlepermit.? I want to make sure the mail is not going in my spam folders.
Thanks
Sanjay

Hi Ahmed
Thanks
2. Surprise is due to the fact that most people wait around the 8 weeks - so I prepared for 8 weeks.
3. I received the Dofi mail with the Annex - employer haven't contacted me yet.
Best of luck for you - hopefully it will be approved any day now.

WP approval would be sent to employer through email & SP approval will be sent directly only to our personal email & not to the employer ?

Hi ,
My wp was approved on 7th August and I have not yet received SP. As per agency , the processing times is upto 8 to 10 weeks. So i had been asked to wait till 16th October.

I'm very worried. I requested my case number from my employer and he informed me that he has no information about the application so far and that other cases are in the same situation. The company is hiring a consultancy to do this monitoring and get information. My request was sent on 29/07/2019 in the Brussels region. Is there anything I can do? Or just wait?
Rental contract
Wife visa
Maybe because in my case my wife is already a student here in Brussels

Well, I think maybe the agency put a safe margin or maybe they aren't following the DOFI website updates for a reason, also before the update that says 2 to 8 weeks, there was an old update kept for around month as far as I remember or maybe more was stating that the process will take 9 weeks, so by any mean you won't reach the 10 weeks to have your single permit, moreover the update stated the period from the admissibility date not from the WP date and I don't know if you know that date or not, so it might be the weeks passed for you! I think you should send the DOFI french or dutch website page for them and ask about more clarifications on what does this update mean!
You may help us all!

Thanks for uptake. The date of admissable was 6th August and WP approval on 7th August. So both dates are almost same .
I did send the Dofi updates to them, per they mentioned that the immigration officerS have informed them that SP processing might take up to 8 to 10 weeks time . Even heard the same time line for one of my friends for different agency. It could be well be the case that 9 weeks might be the time line and 1 week additional bufer
Hoping to get SP soon

There is anther matter of concern. There was old post in the same forum which states that Immigration department did not got any updates from WP department after WP approval .so they were asked to send the WP approval letter so that immigration team can restart the process.
How would we know whether Imigration team has received docement after WP approval. If we follow up after 10 weeks, it might already be too later for processing to be restarted from Immigration team ,any idea on this please?

The 2nd part of the update on DOFI website was so clear that your representative (either employer or agency) should not contact the government asking for your paper before that period! So I think you should wait then contact them, if you contacted them earlier I don't know if this will affect your application if it's under process or not.
I prefer to wait and wish you a good luck!
