Vacation days while receiving unemployment benefits

Hello everyone,

My employment contract ended at the end of May, and I applied for unemployment benefits on June 2. I have a question regarding vacation days while receiving unemployment benefits. As far as I understand, unemployed people are entitled to up to 24 calendar days of vacation per year. However, I have read that vacation days already taken during employment in the same year are also counted toward this limit.

In my case, when my contract ended, my former employer paid out 10.5 days of unused statutory vacation. I understand that when I declare these days as vacation ("V") on my unemployment card, I will not receive unemployment benefits for those days because they have already been paid by my former employer.

My question is:

After I have used these 10.5 days, am I still allowed to take additional vacation days before the end of the year? If so, how does this work in practice? Would I simply not receive unemployment benefits for those additional days as well, or is there a different rule after the paid-out 10.5 days have been exhausted? Also, how should these days be declared on the eC3 card?

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Thank you!
