A Card to Orange Card or F Card

Anans001

I am a student (A card) that recently had a baby (Belgian).

During the recognition process, the staff mentioned that since I had a valid student card, there's no need to change my ID immediately.

My student card expires next month, and I have been trying since July to apply for F card (or orange card). In the first instance, they transferred my file to A card counter and asked that I bring the necessary student document (I guess I made a mistake during the application).

I reapplied in August and attached my baby's birth certificate, and her passport but I haven't received a response yet.

I am considering going to the commune to ask and pay for urgent procedure, is this feasible?

Especially since I am making a switch from A card to F card. I will greatly appreciate any advice

@Anans001if During the procedure of family reunification i suggest you to keep you student card ( i did that) and not swift it for orange card. in case  you would like to apply for citizenship, your years under A card will not count, but will start from the momemt you will obtain the f card.
