Travelling abroad for a week with an orange card

berna polat71

Hello,

Last month, I applied for an orange card for the second time (the first one was rejected because of my husband is independent and we didn't provide all the required documents). Since my first application I have been really careful not to leave the country but next month my brother is coming and I would like to go to the Netherlands. So I was wondering if I can get any permission from the city hall or somewhere to leave the country for a couple of days?

There are no borders between BE-NL. You can travel if you want.

Yes but I am afraid of random police check.

You can normally, join your EU partner anywhere in EU. This the EU law of free movement. https://commission.europa.eu/strategy-a … sidence_en

So no worrie. Make sure you have passport and Orange card with you and you will be fine within Schengen.

If you go outside Schengen then it migh become complex issue to come back.
