Can I change status while in Belgium?

When I go to Belgium with a tourist visa, can I get a residence permit if I become a partner in a restaurant while there?

My cousin is a Belgian citizen and owns a restaurant. I'm thinking of partnering with him. I want to go and see it and if I like it, I want to be a partner. Can I do this while I'm there?

Looks like that you can with 300-350k EUR

@peterjohn1104 What if 50% of the restaurant isn't worth that much?

Need help with immigration or administrative procedures in Belgium?

nope, in your case, you'll probably have to check the single permit (work + stay) as a "owner" of a business in Belgium.
