Hi, my name is Shamim. I would like to apply for a short-stay visa to Belgium to visit friends and family. Is a medical/travel insurance mandatory if the other person is sponsoring me?

I'm also inquiring. Which visa is easier to get. My boyfriend is a Belgian citizen and is currently living in Belgium and I'm in Uganda. So I wanted to join him. We recently asked for a cohabitation visa and was rejected. Can I apply for a short stay visa or can we get married and ask for a spousal visa. We've been together 4 years
