Can we visit another schengen country first with family reunion?

Beeb33

Hello,

My wife just got her family reunion request accepted. Issue is that it's very difficult at the moment to go straight to Belgium from her country of origin.

So we were wondering if she could pass through a schengen zone country by bus first to then take a plane to Belgium. I can't find any rules on this with a family reunion visa.

Will they let her pass the border and could this create problems back in Belgium?

Thanks

As I understand, the first entry can be in any Schengen country, transit is fine.

In your visa application, you mention the country of entry. You can mention specific schengen country there which will be your first point of entry
