Travelling after resigning from current Job while on Blue card Germany

Hello Rajiitr,

I have a question about the blue card, sine you have it, the blue card visa requires a number of experience years ( fyi i have a contract from a german company).

What is your exact question? Regarding number of years of experience, I dont think its a requirement, they are most concerned about the university degree, see this link below

When you get the blue card in 2018, how much of years do you have in that time ?

You can travel (within the Schengen area and up to 89 days within any 6-months period) as long as your Blue Card is valid.

no i'm taking in general manner, the number of experience is required in Blue Card for germany or not ?

I am a bit puzzled by the original question since the major purpose of even having a blue card is to give a streamlined pathway to getting a settlement permit (in just 33 months) which is the highest form of residency short of naturalization. Few would need an extension of a blue card because after this time they would get the settlement permit and then a blue card becomes irrelevant. But if a person would be planning to leave Germany sometime soon after this 33 months is up then maybe they don't want to go through the process of getting a settlement permit.

But they could simply get a unlimited residency permit which is almost as good – and not need to extend the blue card. In fact one wonders what the whole point of a blue card is, rather than a standard limited residency permit to start with, if one doesn't intend to stay long term an and get the settlement permit when it is possible?
