Maltese citizenship through descent question

prime242

I have a question re: Maltese citizenship through descent. I am born in the US, however, both my parents were born and raised in Malta, and their parents, and their parents, ect, ect. Both parents immigrated to America and eventually became US citizens. My dad was still a Maltese citizen when I was born in 1988. What is the process like to get citizenship through descent? Would I need to go all the way to my great great grand parents, or would my grand parents and parents be proof enough that I am of Maltese descent?

You only need to prove two generations back, so your father and grandfather. Just make sure you have birth certificates to show who spawned whom.
