I am a UK national living in Bahrain - not working.
What is the best medical insurance to cover routine and medical medical treatment?

Nothing too expensive or fancy, just adequate.

Depends on what your needs are and what is your age. The most expensive add-ons are maternity and dental. Also, if you get one as an individual, there is a waiting period before coverage starts for pre-existing conditions.

Generally affordable medical insurance is from local providers. The best way to get a deal is to go through an insurance broker who are aware of all options - they get paid by the insurance company and not you. Contact someone like Crescent Global.
