I'm moving very soon to the Netherlands and want to find a student job ASAP, yet I don't speak dutch. I've got no illusions, I know that it is very hard to find a student job without speaking Dutch. Do you have any tips where to look for jobs, where to go? I'll be moving to the Den Haag-Rotterdam area
(Of course I know the legal obligations of taking a job, I'm rather interested in the process of finding one... )

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

It's not easy, especially when they realise you don't speak Dutch; my advice, for now, is to check out our jobs link at the top of the page; perhaps something may come up.  You could also try contacting your university to see if they maintain any records of local employers who are looking to take on students.

Hope this helps.

Hello Newexpat,

Two suggestions pop immediately to mind.
-Apply for bar work in English pubs
-Contact an agency for warehouse work (order picking is usually done in English/involves only looking at numbers)

Good luck.
