UK dietitian looking to move to Dubai

Hi,

I am currently a specialist dietitian in the UK  working within the field of gastroenterology.  I also have experience of oncology, neurology, respiratory, surgical and weight management patients, among others.  I have been a dietitian for over 10 years so I have a good deal of experience.  I currently hold a caseload of both inpatients and outpatients.

My partner and I are looking to move abroad to work and Dubai is on our list of potential places to consider.

I am struggling to find out information as to whether I can practice with my current qualifications in Dubai. I know for a lot of places abroad you need to do entrance exams or weeks of shadowing. I am not against doing any of these things I just don't know where to start!

Ideally I want to continue to work within my area of expertise as I love my job.

Any help or guidance would be really appreciated.

Thanks

You need to obtain a license from the Dubai health authority to be able to practice here.  There are many threads on the forum dealing with that.  Also the DHA website is a good resource to guide you further.

As an example, I am just pasting a few links which should give you an overview.  The last two links are directly from DHA and are pdf files dealing with eligibility and procedures.
