hi, wanna share my best place?

Glenn's Grill in QB; lots of small outlets around open
i enjoy hotdogs, opens at night after hours

Islander 77, glen's grill and boulette palace are neighbours. I do think Musheer knows that. :D

Anywhere else? QB is a bit of a dead end when it comes to late night foodies!

Well, when I run out of fags at 2am, I have been known to drive across the island to Gool (centre of Beau Bassin) or Dado (centre of phoenix). They do the usual fried stuff, cakes, cokes, tea etc.

Curepipe has 'Balamoody' at the start of curepipe (if coming from Pheonix on the old 'Royal Road'). Not 24 hours but very late.

If you're coming from south on the Motorway (maybe from airport) and have left the 'Forest-Side Roundabout', and you're now making your way direction north to Curepipe roundabout, then turn immediate left at the Curepipe roundabout, carry on for a kilometre or so, then you'll get munchies, fags, drinks etc on left hand side (to locals this road is known as 'la rue couvent lorette'). However this is not 24 hrs.
Up North there are those metal shacks in central Grand Bay (fags more expensive of course).
If you want rice/curry/all cakes/drinks/fags etc, and you're in desperate need at 2am, then drive to Plaine Verte... 'Hotel Pakistan' is opened 24 hours. They also do grilled skewered chicken kebabs (i think Rs 60 each).
Having worked for Sun Casinos (finish work 2- 3am.. and bloody hungry)in my late teens, u tend to pick up such info!

Home delivery at such wee hours of the morning doesn't exist in Mauritius yet (unless am wrong). The closest to you would be Gool through Vandermeesch street. At the end of this street, take the round about and go towards Beau Bassin (parallel to Vandermeesch). Gool is on your right. You will have to fight the lazy bug here!

Stormtrooper

Yep, we can't have delivery boys delivering food on our 'crime-free streets' at night can we?

islander77

hey, oops, i misplaced that! lol, musheer seems u know the secret places...

i used to go to a place, where they cooked dol puris at night, starting at 11hrs or more, landing in the early morning; its a house in rh..dunno if they're still running..

pakistan's a point for port louis, till dawn its opened!

;)

cheers buds,
islander.

ah btw, there's a pool house(billard) opened in late nights in qb near la louise, you can get stuffs like pain fourre, or samoossas;

Yes it's still open, the one that's close to the mosque?

The La Louise one, is that the bar on top of the butcher house or the one along Palma road?

Dear Musheer, It seems, Terence has given a better solution, but solution seems incomplete :) what if, wife also want to eat out at 2am, you would stand back to square 1. :(
Hope, forum provides a suitable solution, as this is a concern of many including me. Sometimes i need a good coffee/ good cup of tea, but prepared by some1 along with a little fresh air in midnight-really difficult to find.
Is there any suitable place in Ebene, as there are quite a few BPOs! kindly suggest! :)

musheer

Dear o dear!!!!

Well, I know wee hours is a problem, in most cities. If it is coffee or panini, and I need it , I end up in Lounge 365 in Four points. But that is an expensive option.

I am looking for delivery, say till 11 to 11.30 pm!! otherwise I guess I will have to look towards glen n gloria :P

solution is very simple Raghuvanshi, take wife also with u at 2am,we are living in YEAR 2010 not in the year 60's or 70's.she also has the right to live her life in her way.

The mosque that is close to Ollier Avenue, Off Victoria road, near Shameem Hall and not far from St Patrick Church. (I hope that was accurate enough) :D
