job offer - but cant get visa

hello everybody,

i recently received a job offer from a university in ksa. i accepted it and am in the process of the visa application in the usa. but there is a problem. the embassy requires the visa letter be sent from my sponsor to the embassy directly, instead of via my visa agent. for several weeks i have tried to reach my sponsor but have received no response. therefore i have not been able to obtain my visa. i am not sure any longer if my sponsor even wants to employ me. i have not yet signed a work contract, which one usually signs upon arrival in ksa.

what should i do to solve this problem? any recourse?
