Has anyone emigrated to new zealand from england and taken their guns with them ? Would you reccomend taking your guns from england or selling them and starting new in n.z.

Shooting is really big here, wild pigs, buck, ducks etc. Obtaining a licence for a rifle is not so difficult, have to pass an elementary test and assure the police the rifle will be ocked up etc. Shotguns and hand guns are a different issue, hand guns you must belong to a registered club and be able to justify the need.

thanks for your reply.Iwould prefer to take my guns with me to nz because as you know you get used to the same guns.I'm surprised that shotgun license's are harder to get than rifle's. In England it's the other way around.I have a multi shot shotgun for pigeons soi hope i'll be ok bringing that
